Falling Back on the Farm

If you’re like Fred, you’re still yawning over that extra hour of sleep. Not everyone likes the time change, although I do like the extra hour versus the lost hour.

We didn’t move the cows back until a little bit yesterday and the rest of the hour this morning to ease them into it. While I expected them to be waiting for us this morning, instead, they were waiting for me in the field. “If you sleep in, then we’re sleeping in,” they must have thought.

Our cows might actually be jealous of those at robotic dairies. Instead of being milked twice a day on schedule, cows can choose when they want to be milked and how often by the robot. The time change wouldn’t affect them at all. Talk abount convenience!

Perhaps the best part of falling back is just the fall part.
