We were definitely excited for the Solar Eclipse Monday because we were in the totality and would get the full experience. While there was a lot said about how the animals would react, I feel like our cows were completely ready.
Here’s a short clip of some calves after the sky darkened and about five minutes before totality.
Immediately afterwards, the sound of jarflies erupted like night time, and a flock of birds flew out of the trees. Eerie, beautiful, and amazing, the chance to look at the sun without our solar eclipse glasses was a once in a lifetime chance. Unlike time spent at a doctor’s office, the event felt much faster than the two and a half minutes it actually lasted. This time lapse I took shows it happening even faster!
I would for someone to explain the reflection in the video that switches sides after the eclipse if anyone has any guesses.
Beautiful!
